Internal applications and system connections.
Minutehouse develops internal web applications and connects them to existing systems. An assignment can cover a standalone application, an additional feature or a defined change to software already in use.
AI can be included where it contributes to the feature. Search, validation, forms and data exchange can also be built with ordinary application logic.

Internal applications
An internal application can bring related records into a shared screen, collect information through a form or give people a way to search material currently kept elsewhere.
The first design follows what the user needs to see and enter. A useful prototype contains representative records, long entries, missing values and the actions available in that screen. This gives the client something concrete to inspect before the remaining features are developed.
The implementation includes input validation, the appropriate access rules and the data storage or connections the application needs. We can develop a separate application or work within existing software after reviewing its code and deployment arrangements.
The feature list, supported environments and release requirements are defined for the assignment.
System connections
An AI feature may need text from an existing application and a place to return the reviewed result. The connection can retrieve the required fields, preserve the record identifier and validate the format of a value sent back.
For example, a classifier can receive a message and return a category for that message. The application needs to keep each suggestion attached to the original record. It also needs a way to represent a mixed request or an item left for review in the receiving system.
A drafting tool may need a different exchange: source material comes into the editor, and the edited text is saved with the relevant record. Development defines the fields, formats and timing of that exchange using the interfaces the existing software provides.
Map identifiers and check the response.
Maintenance
Maintenance can address a reproducible defect, an updated interface or a change to an application feature. Useful starting material includes the affected screen, the input that produced the problem and the result that was expected.
We review the existing code, dependencies and release arrangement before defining the change. Where a defect can be reproduced, the fix can be checked against that example and relevant existing tests.
Applications containing AI may also need their document collection, prompts or test examples updated. Those changes should be checked alongside the software release.
Monitoring, ongoing support and further development are agreed for the particular application.
AI development and software development can be combined
A document assistant still needs a search interface and document handling. A classifier may need a review queue and a connection to an existing application. The assignment can include both the AI feature and the software needed to use it.
